Белорусский государственный университет - 1924 год

Белорусский государственный университет - 1924 год, и такое тоже было.

Back in 1920s Yiddish was a language which was easily understood by 50% of population ob Belorussia  and spoken as a first language at list by 25% of same population. The towns'  percent numbers of Yiddish speaking population of the same region could easily go to 80% and 65% respectively. Yiddish became a none of for national languages in Belorussia and taking one of the main parts in Belorussian cote-de-armes.

To bad it is a long forgotten history. Yiddish is no longer spoken over there, and to find a Jews on a streets of Minsk, Gomel or Mozyr is almost imposable task.
