My Perestroika

Two years ago, PBS accomplished one of the great task they came up with a film project about the soviet kids who where growing up during the 70 and 80's of last century and start accomplishing themselves as adults during crazy 90's the time the Soviet Union start to fall apart and eventually became a part of the history as Roman Empire 15 hundred years before. They are the kids of Perestroika, something I could relate too, I am slightly younger, but I was growing up during the 1980's in a same country as well as a city. I left USSR 2 years before it fell apart, however some Soviet propaganda footage , Home movies shown in a film as well as thoughts conveyed by "former soviet kids" interviewed by creators of the project - are something which I could relate to, and experience some nostalgia filings toward the long long gone times in a country which is no longer exist. Thanks to PBS for making this film as well as placing it for free viewing on its site, embedded copy on my blog. Enjoy!!!! Part 1
